Participating in the TV reality show Bigg Boss has become a significant turning point for many celebrities, opening doors for a number of opportunities. This trend was evident in many stars such as Shehnaz Gill, Tejasswi Prakash, Gauahar Khan and most recently, Ankita Lokhande who after her stint in Bigg Boss 17 found herself flooded with many exciting projects. Her latest endeavours include the film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar and a music album with husband Vicky Jain. And, it is fascinating to know that Bollywood actor Salman Khan had predicted this path for Ankita Lokhande during the Bigg Boss 17 finale, stating that by the time other actors start working on projects; Ankita would’ve already completed 2-3 projects.

During a recent interview with ETimes TV, Ankita Lokhande was reminded about Salman’s prediction. Sharing her thoughts on the same, the actress said, “I am so happy that all that Salman sir mentioned on the finale stage is coming true. I’m glad, I’m grateful. I remember when I got out at 4th position, the first thing was Aise kaise ho gaya? (How did this happen?). But when Salman sir said that it was everything for me. He mentioned that to me personally also. One day after the finale I was just sitting at home and thinking about Salman sir’s words and I asked myself unhone bol toh diya aisa par kya hoga? (He said it, but what will happen) … and suddenly Swatantra Veer Savarkar’s promotions started. Everything is coming back-to-back in my life. I’m really grateful that I’m able to do all these projects. During the promotions of Swatantra Veer Savarkar’s, all the fans I met would just tell me please don’t take any break. We want to see you on-screen.”

Vicky also added his perspective, stating, “People who are in a position like Salman bhai can see something special in people. Unhe kuch dikhayo deta hai Tabhi Woh aisa kuch bolte hain (They see something, that’s why they say such things) … they just don’t make statements like these without any reason. Unka joh Vishwas hota hai (They have a belief) that works for you. When you start losing your confidence people like Salman sir build your confidence. Then you bounce back. Ankita has a lot of potential and she has everything that one needs to be a good actor. She has managed to stay relevant even after so many years of being in the industry. There are so many things happening in the industry and she has done it. When you have a potential like this you should work hard and explore new things.”

Ankita Lokhande is now gearing up for her next project, the web series Amrapali, produced by filmmaker Sandeep Singh.
