In Christianity, Holy Tuesday is observed on the Tuesday prior to Easter Sunday of the sacred week every year. Also known as Fig Tuesday, it commemorates the day Jesus returned to Jerusalem from Bethany, passing a barren fit tree. It usually falls around the end of March and beginning of the April month.

The week celebrates various events in the life of Jesus Christ, including his prediction of his own death. Holy Tuesday: History And Significance
