Russia said that its forces had thwarted a Ukrainian attempt to launch a cross-border attack on Belgorod region on March 14. Belgorod governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that one person has been killed by Ukrainian shelling in the Russian city of Grayvoron.Russian defence ministry said that Ukraine had attempted to land forces by helicopters in the frontier province. The attempted incursions come as Russia votes in its presidential election over three days.The Russian MoD said that 30 Ukrainian soldiers tried to land close to the border village of Kozinka.
