The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the schedule for the Engineering Services Exam for this year (ESE 2024 Main Exam). This announcement comes as a significant update for candidates who have successfully cleared the ESE prelims 2024 and are now preparing for the main exam. The detailed exam schedule can be accessed and downloaded from the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.
As per the official notification, the ESE 2024 Main Exam is scheduled to be held on June 23 and will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will take place from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the second shift is scheduled from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The morning session will feature Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering with Discipline Specific Paper (Paper-I) being conventional, lasting for 3 hours, and carrying 300 marks. In the afternoon session, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering will have a Discipline Specific Paper (Paper-II) which is also conventional, with a duration of 3 hours and carrying 300 marks.
For the convenience of candidates, the Engineering Services Main Exam 2024 will be conducted at various exam centres across the country. Some of the major cities where the exam will be conducted include Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dispur (Guwahati), Lucknow, Shillong, Aizawl, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Shimla, Allahabad, Cuttack, Jaipur, Patna, Thiruvananthapuram, Bangalore, Dehradun, Jammu, Raipur, Vishakhapatnam, Bhopal, Delhi, Kolkata, and Ranchi.
Candidates will be able to check their respective exam venues once the admit cards are released.

The UPSC ESE 2024 Main admit cards will be uploaded on the UPSC website one week before the commencement of the exam, as mentioned in the official notification.

Step 3. You will be redirected to a PDF file containing the subject-wise exam schedule.
Step 4. Download and save the UPSC ESE 2024 Main exam calendar for future reference.
