Out of the 56 candidates who attained a perfect 100 percentile score, 54 are boys and two are girls.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the second session of JEE Main 2024. Among the candidates, an impressive 56 achieved a perfect 100 percentile score. Of special mention is Himanshu Yadav from Ghazipur, who stood out as the sole candidate from Uttar Pradesh to achieve this remarkable feat.

During the JEE Main’s first session earlier this year, Himanshu scored a percentile of 99.5342192. He openly admits that he didn’t expect to achieve a perfect 100 percentile in JEE Main for various reasons.

Himanshu Yadav, who obtained a percentile of 99.5342192 in the JEE Main first session, expressed his excitement after achieving a perfect 100 percentile. “I didn’t think I could score 100 percentile. I consider myself lucky to be among the 56 candidates who achieved this score,” he said. Himanshu is now preparing for the JEE Advanced exam, which will play a crucial role in shaping his future.

Himanshu sees JEE Main as only the beginning. He stressed that the true test lies in JEE Advanced. He mentioned that his rank in JEE Advanced will decide the college and course he can pursue.

Sanjay Yadav, Himanshu’s father and a police inspector at Maharajganj Kotwali, was amazed by his son’s success. He believed that Himanshu’s hard work, along with the guidance of his teachers played a big role in his achievement.

Like many JEE toppers, Himanshu aspires to pursue a BTech in Computer Science from IIT Mumbai. He has been studying at Academic Global School in Gorakhpur since the 9th grade. Rajesh Kumar, the school’s director, stated that Himanshu scored 99% in his CBSE class 10 board exams and is anticipated to excel in his class 12 board exams as well.

Out of the 56 candidates who attained a perfect 100 percentile score, 54 are boys and two are girls. Among these candidates, 23 achieved a 100 NTA score in the January session of JEE Main, while 33 accomplished the same score in the April session. A total of 12.57 lakh candidates had registered for the second session.

Among the 56 top scorers, 40 belong to the general category, 10 are from the OBC category, and six are from the general EWS category. Unfortunately, no candidates from the SC or ST categories achieved a 100 NTA score this year. Furthermore, there has been a 2.45% rise in the cut-off, and a total of 250,284 candidates have qualified for JEE Advanced.

Telangana continues to lead the state-wise list with 15 candidates among the top scorers for the third consecutive year. Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh both have seven candidates each, securing the second position. Delhi follows closely behind with six candidates achieving the perfect score.
