Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s associate targeted Kate Middleton on Twitter after her cancer diagnosis, sparking outrage and speculation

Moments after Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis shocked the world this week, Christopher Bouzy, a key figure in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix ventures, took to social media platform X to slam the Princess of Wales.

Bouzy, known for promoting conspiracy theories about the British Royals, suggested that Kate’s illness was staged, comparing it to North Korean propaganda. The Sun newspaper reported that he later participated in an online meeting with hundreds of Harry and Meghan supporters, where doubts about the legitimacy of Kate’s diagnosis were raised.

Bouzy fought back claims made by The Sun report. “WOW! The Sun published a piece claiming I targeted Kate, and they falsely claim I said, ‘Kate’s illness was stage-managed, akin to North Korean propaganda.’ I never said that, and The Sun has crossed a line. My tweet had nothing to do with her cancer diagnosis,” he wrote on X.

Omid Scobie, another associate of the Sussexes, faced backlash for a tasteless post featuring an alarm set for the time Kate made her cancer statement. According to the British newspaper, Scobie later deleted the post, stating that it was meant to alert followers to a pending announcement from the Palace and not intended to cause speculation.

Kate’s Friday announcement dominated British newspaper front pages on Saturday, with supportive messages combined with criticism of those who had speculated about her health in recent weeks. Kate’s statement via a video message triggered an outpouring of support from well-wishers.

Both the Princess of Wales and her husband have been “enormously touched” by the messages of support received since she announced her cancer diagnosis, a Kensington Palace spokesperson said on Saturday. The Harry-Meghan pair was unaware of Kate’s diagnosis, until her public statement. According to UK media reports, this revelation further strained the already fragile ties between the Sussexes and the Royal Family.
