In today’s world, we all plan to get enrolled to a reputed university. However, this becomes a hectic journey for the ones who belong to a financially weaker background. In such a situation, if someone gets a scholarship from a reputed university, it marks their journey to start back again.

Such an incident has occurred to a famous teacher from Bhagalpur, Bihar. The mathematics teacher, Satyam Mishra has recently received a scholarship of Rs 42 lakh from the reputed institution, Harvard University, US.

According to the News18 report, the tutor has been titled with a scholarship for pursuing Post Graduate in Education, while specialising in Teaching and Teacher Leadership. He has been known for teaching mathematics in an interesting way as well.

As per reports, Satyam has been honoured with the Global Teacher Award because of his spectacular work in teaching across 18 countries so far. Besides the Global Teacher Award, Satyam has also been rewarded with several such prestigious accolades.

Apart from teaching students in schools and institutions, Satyam also works in an NGO named, Teach for All which allows him to reach out to the students who are deprived of resources. In addition to teaching mathematics, the teacher also guides about the use of Artificial Intelligence in the education sector.

While talking to News18, Satyam Mishra mentioned that he has received the scholarship from such a prestigious institution which is rare. It has brought him pride and the opportunity to be more efficient in helping needy students. He also added that he will be coming back from Harvard and working in Bihar only.

Adding to his plans, Satyam mentioned that he will learn new techniques and ways of teaching from Harvard and instead of just copying and pasting, he would rather modify it as per the requirement of his students. Apart from teaching the kids, he also plans to guide the teachers with what he learns at Harvard so that he can bring more effectiveness to the region.

Earlier this year, Satyam received a prize of Rs 28 lakh after defeating several teachers from various countries in a Fulbright competition.
