Apple has introduced new options for game streaming apps and services that provide access to mini-games and other in-app experiences worldwide. These new options will allow apps to deliver in-app experiences including streaming games and mini-programs to users globally. With these options, developers can submit a single app that will enable users to stream all of the games offered in their catalogue.
The Cupertino-based tech giant has confirmed that apps will be able to make it easier for users to discover opportunities for streaming games, mini-apps, mini-games, chatbots, and plug-ins that are available within them. Also, for the first time, mini-apps, mini-games, chatbots and plug-ins will be able to incorporate Apple’s in-app purchase system to offer their users paid digital content or services, like a subscription for an individual chatbot.

Apps to maintain user experience and safety

Apple has confirmed that each experience made available in an app on the App Store must adhere to all App Store Review Guidelines. The iPhone maker has revealed that the host app will need to maintain an age rating of the highest age-rated content included in the app. Apps hosting this content will also have to be responsible for ensuring all the software included in their app meets the iPhone maker’s user experience and safety standards.

Sign in with Apple to be available with these apps

To align with its mission to protect user privacy, the company is also updating its App Store Review Guideline for using Sign in with Apple. The Sign in with Apple option makes it easy for users to sign in to apps and websites using their Apple ID.

The company claims that this option was designed for user privacy and security. Apple confirmed that developers that offer third-party or social login services within their app will have the option to offer Sign in with Apple. However, the company will also allow the apps to offer users an equivalent privacy-focused login service instead.
