The Jharkhand Education Board has started the online admission process in 80 Chief Minister Schools of Excellence (CM SOE) across the state. To encourage educational excellence and holistic development in students, the State Project Director of Jharkhand Education Project Council, Kiran Kumari Pasi launched the official web portal for admission.

Interested parents can apply for the admission of their kids through–https://www.soeadmission.in/ for the academic session 2024-25. The last date to submit the application forms is March 3.

Selection will be done based on the examination that will be conducted by the district-level selection committee. The test will take place on March 11. After the examination, children will be selected for enrollment based on merit. The question papers will be prepared by the Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training for the examination.

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) has also started its admission process for Class 6. It has released a total of 75 seats. However, the selection of female students on the state government-reserved 25 seats will be done based on the exam conducted by the district-level selection committee.

Enrollment of children is also being taken in Kindergarten and Class 1 in CM SOE for the academic session 2024-25. The student must be above five years of age to get admission to kindergarten whereas enrollment in Class 1 requires the minimum age of the candidate to be six years. As per the admission guidelines, only children of parents living in areas at a distance of a minimum of two kilometres and a maximum of seven kilometres from the school will be eligible for admission in Kindergarten and Class 1.

CM SOE’s mission is to provide education to all, irrespective of their social or economic backgrounds. The infrastructure of the school boasts a modern building with facilities such as smart classrooms, a rich library and a laboratory with modern instruments for practical experiments. Apart from this, the CM SOE also imparts vocational education, co-curricular activities, eco-club, maths lab, literacy club and others in their curriculum for the holistic development of students.
