As the country is gearing up for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, scheduled to take place on Friday (April 19), preparations are at full swing in multiple states. According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India, states such as Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, among others will go to vote on Friday.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday concluded his poll campaign in Assam and Tripura, INDIA bloc leaders Rahul Gandhi and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav held a joint press conference in Ghaziabad to show support for Congress candidate Dolly Sharma.
