Even after being one of the top students of the college, Arushi Sharma didn’t sit for the campus placements. She started preparing for UPSC after completing her course.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil Service Examination (CSE) annually to recruit people for the position of IAS, IFS and other posts. It is also called one of the toughest examinations in India. Every year lakhs of people register for this exam out of which only thousands of the candidates are selected. One of them is Arushi Sharma of the UPSC 2022 batch. She secured an All India rank 402 in the Civil Services exam 2022. She is currently serving as an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer in India. She is also quite active on social media and uploads her day-to-day activities on Instagram.

IRS Arushi Sharma comes from an open-minded family. She opted science stream after passing the high school exam. She has always been dedicated towards her studies. Arushi Sharma passed her Class 12 with high marks and later chose to become an engineer. She enrolled herself in the prestigious engineering college of India, BITS Pilani, Goa. She was also a bright student in engineering.

During the course, Arushi Sharma decided not to go for the engineering jobs and pursue civil service opportunities in India. Even after being one of the top students of the college, Arushi Sharma didn’t sit for the campus placements. She started preparing for UPSC after completing her engineering.

IRS Arushi Sharma left for Delhi to properly prepare for the exam. She joined the coaching institutes and decided to distance herself from social media. She cleared the UPSC CSE exam in 2021 initially. Due to her low rank, she was given the post of Indian Information Service (IIS). She was not content with this post and hence she started preparing for the UPSC 2022.

She worked hard and cracked the exam again in 2022. She secured an AIR 402. This time, her hard work was rewarded with the position of IRS post. Arushi made four attempts before getting selected as the IRS officer. Arushi Sharma loves to read books and motivational stories. She also used to read newspapers daily to stay updated with the current affairs of India.
