Breaking the silence after her shock cancer diagnosis, Princess Kate Middleton’s family have come out in support and wish for her speedy recovery. Catherine’s younger brother James Middleton paid tribute to Kate with a never-before-seen childhood photograph.

Taking to Instagram, the 36-year-old entrepreneur posted the throwback picture with the caption, “Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too.”

In the photograph, young Kate and James can be seen standing in front of a green mountain. Kate, who seems to be in her teenage, is wearing a black collared shirt while James is in a red top and a matching backpack.

Forty-two-year-old Catherine is the eldest daughter of Michael and Carole Middleton, who also share another daughter Pippa Middleton and a son James. Kate married the heir to the British throne, Prince William, and assumed the title of Princess of Wales.

As per reports, Carole, 69, has been a pillar of support for Kate since her diagnosis.

“Her mom has been staying with her to help her recuperate,” Us Weekly reported earlier this month quoting a source.

A few days ago, Kate was spotted riding in a car with her mother behind the wheel.

It marked the princess’s first public appearance since she attended the royals’ annual Christmas service in December 2023.

In January, Kate underwent abdominal surgery and temporarily stepped away from public life. At the time, Kensington Palace said the surgery was for a non-cancerous abdominal condition.

However, following weeks of speculation about her procedure, Kate revealed in a video released on Friday, that she was diagnosed with cancer after her surgery.

Details of her cancer have not been disclosed. However, Kate said she is “well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits.”
