Shocking video emerges of a Toronto pizza delivery worker facing racist abuse from a customer, sparking outrage online
A pizza delivery guy in Toronto, Canada was subjected to racist abuse by a customer over the payment method for the order, according to a viral video.
The spat, which was apparently filmed by the rude customer and brought widespread rebuke online. The undated video from the city of Brampton shows a man verbally berating the delivery worker, hurling derogatory remarks and racial slurs at him.
Despite the customer’s hostile behaviour, the delivery driver remained calm, attempting to resolve the situation. “Call your workplace, call your workplace, call your workplace. Right now. If I never ordered food anymore. Do something, I dare you,” said the person in the video, who was mocking the delivery guy, seemingly of South Asian descent.

‘No one deserves this’
The viral fight escalated as the customer belittled the delivery agent, even resorting to racial epithets. In response, the delivery worker proposed a solution, suggesting that change be acquired first before delivering the food. However, the customer rejected the offer, further taunting and challenging the delivery worker.
Faced with an untenable situation, the delivery agent sought help from the customer service. After securing confirmation that change could be delivered to the customer, the agent swiftly left the premises, while the customer persisted in his verbal assault. “What do you think you were, super brown guy,” he added.
The video went viral, eliciting widespread outrage from viewers who condemned the customer’s behaviour as abhorrent and unacceptable. Many slammed what they perceived as an abuse of power and privilege, expressing solidarity with the delivery worker who was trying to perform his job.
Social media users on X decried the incident and stressed the importance of treating service workers with respect and dignity. Some people said the customer’s actions show a bigger problem with people feeling too entitled.
