UPSC CAPF 2024 Registration Begins at upsc.gov.in For 506 Assistant Commandant Vacancies – News18

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the online application process for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) examination 2024. Candidates can apply for the UPSC CAPF 2024 exam by visiting the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. The last date to submit the application form for the UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant recruitment exam is May 14, 2024 (6:00 pm).

The application correction window will be open for 7 days from May 15 to May 21, 2024. Candidates must confirm that they meet all of the qualifying conditions for the examination. Their admittance at all stages of the examination will be conditional on meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria.

As per the recruitment notification, the CAPF written exam will be held on August 4, 2024. The exam is conducted for the recruitment of 506 Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Both men and women are eligible for appointment as Assistant Commandants.

UPSC CAPF (Assistant Commandant) Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold Indian citizenship. Furthermore, non-citizens will be appointed or employed only if the central government provides written authorisation.

It is required that candidates be at least 20 years old on August 1, 2024, and not older than 25. To put it another way, they had to have been born between August 2, 1999, and August 1, 2004. Government regulations will apply to the relaxation of the upper age limit.

UPSC CAPF (Assistant Commandant) Recruitment 2024: How to Apply?

Before completing the online application form at upsconline.nic.in, new applicants must first complete the one-time registration (OTR) process via the link provided on the same website. After the OTR is done, they can begin the application procedure.

Meanwhile, existing candidates – those who have completed the OTR for a previous edition of the UPSC CAPF or any other examination administered by the commission – are not required to re-register because the OTR on the UPSC website is valid for life. Such applicants can complete the application form by entering their registration information.

UPSC CAPF (Assistant Commandant) Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

The UPSC CAPF 2024 exam fee is Rs 200. Female, SC, and ST applicants are exempted from paying the exam fee.
