Following the UP Police recruitment paper leak case, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has removed the Recruitment Board Chairperson Renuka Mishra. IPS Officer Rajiv Krishna has been appointed as the recruitment board chairman now. More than 48 lakh candidates had participated in the UP Police recruitment exam held for over 60,000 vacancies. However, after the paper leak, the exam held on February 17 and 18 has been canceled and the written exam will be conducted again in the next six months.

The internal inquiry committee has not been able to give any report regarding the constable recruitment paper leak case. The Recruitment Board had to file an FIR after which this action was taken and DG Vigilance Rajeev Krishna was given additional charge of the Recruitment Board.

After the paper leak, CM Adityanath had said that he will take action against the culprits. “There can be no compromise with the sanctity of examinations. Those who play with the hard work of the youth will not be spared under any circumstances. Strictest action is certain to be taken against such unruly elements,” he said in a post on X. (sic)

Earlier, UP Lok Sabha’s examination controller Ajay Tiwari was also removed in the RO and ARO exam paper leak case. The investigation of the UP Police paper leak case has been handed over to STF. After the exam was administered in February, the matter of the paper leak came to light. At first, the police called it a rumor but because of the opposition from the candidates, the CM canceled the examination.
