TV Host Andy Cohen Apologises For Spreading Conspiracy Theories Regarding Princess Kate – News18

Television host and producer Andy Cohen apologised for spreading conspiracy theories regarding the health of Kate Middleton. Cohen cast doubts regarding the video of Prince William and Kate Middleton shopping at their farm store which shook the internet as it was the first time Kate was seen in public after a long absence.

That video led many people, including Cohen, to comment that the woman in the video is not Kate Middleton, as they claimed to find no similarities.

The man who filmed the video, Nelson Silva, 40, was shopping for steak when he spotted Kate and William in the bread aisle. “I noticed a couple choosing loaves of bread and the woman turned her face and I felt like I had seen the face before. It was familiar. I knew it from somewhere,” Silva was quoted as saying by The Sun.

The video also came shortly after a controversy erupted after leading news media and photo agencies pulled the photo citing it was edited. Kate Middleton later herself admitted that the photo was edited by her and apologised for the concern caused.

But Cohen cast doubt on whether the woman seen with William was indeed his wife on his SiriusXM show, Andy Cohen Live. Cohen had remarked, “That ain’t Kate”.

However, the TV host apologised for his comments.

“We have been off the air for a week and I just want to say, I am heartbroken by the news about Princess Kate. I think someone on Sky News called me a ‘numpty’ during that whole conversation and they were right,” Cohen said.

“I wish I had kept my mouth shut. We are all praying for Princess Kate and King Charles,” he further added.

Well-wishers of the UK royal family across the world are concerned about the family following the almost back-to-back cancer diagnosis of Kate Middleton and King Charles III.

Both royals have not commented on what type of cancer they are suffering from and at what stage their disease is.
