A German minister called for the UK and France to deploy a “nuclear shield” over Europe to deter a possible Russian strike. The call for a nuclear shield comes amid fear that NATO may no longer be able to count on US support if Trump returns to the White House. The German Finance Minister said it is time to think about a European bomb in cooperation with nuclear powers, France and Britain.
