With Ratcliffe set to acquire a 25 per cent stake in United, he would try to resolve the issue between Erik Ten Hag and Sancho before making any decision about his future. The INEOS chief also has plans to appoint Jean-Claude Blanc as the club’s new CEO, who could help Sancho with a switch.

The arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe as Manchester United’s new stakeholder will reportedly benefit Jadon Sancho, who has been out of the Premier League club’s first-team facilities for quite some time now.

Sancho found himself in a tricky situation in the aftermath of a social media revelation about boss Erik Ten Hag earlier in September. This came after the footballer was benched during a Premier League fixture against Arsenal. After coming out of the match, Ten Hag was asked what made him drop Sancho from the teamsheet. The Dutch manager, in response, referred to Sancho’s poor performance in training.

The English forward was quick to rubbish the claims and labelled himself as a “scapegoat” in a now-deleted post on X. The criticism unquestionably did not go down well with Ten Hag. The issue was never sorted as Sancho was adamant about not apologising to his boss. Going by the feud, many thought that Sancho would leave Manchester United when the upcoming transfer window would open in January next year.

Since the turbulent scenario transpired, several big clubs have shown their interest in Sancho. According to a report by the Telegraph, his former club Borussia Dortmund are also eager to bring back Sancho, while Italian side Juventus are also keen to sign him. Saudi Arabian clubs are also reportedly keeping their eyes on the Englishman.

Sancho, however, would love to stay in European club football rather than shift his base to the Gulf nation. Earlier in the summer, Sancho attracted some offers from Saudi Arabia but he turned down all to continue with Manchester United.

With Ratcliffe set to acquire a 25 per cent stake in Manchester United, the INEOS chief has plans to appoint Jean-Claude Blanc as the club’s new CEO. By the end of this year, Richard Arnold will step down as United’s CEO, and John Murtough will also be let go. If Blanc takes over the helm, he can help Sancho leave Old Trafford in January, Tuttosport reported.

Now a report by the Mirror has stated that Sancho will not agree to any offer next January. Ratcliffe would try to resolve the issue between Erik Ten Hag and Sancho before making any decision about the footballer’s future. Sancho joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in June 2021, accepting a five-year contract worth £73 million.
