Following the release of the earnings report of Infosys for the quarter ending in September 2023, there is significant attention on the notable increase in the net worth of Akshata Murty, who is married to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. During the second quarterly earnings announcement for the financial year 2023-24 on Thursday, Infosys also disclosed an interim dividend of Rs 18 per equity share.

Akshata Murty possesses a total of 3,89,57,096 equity shares in the prominent IT company, according to the company’s shareholding pattern. This accounts for 1.05 per cent of Infosys’ overall paid-up capital, granting Murty the status of a promoter within the software services firm.

With Infosys declaring an interim dividend of Rs 18 per share on Thursday, it is projected that Rishi Sunak’s wife’s net worth will reach Rs 70,12,27,728 obtained by multiplying Rs 18 by her 3,89,57,096 shares. Murty’s total worth from her Infosys shareholding alone now stands at an impressive Rs 70.12 crore. It’s worth noting that after Infosys’ earnings report for the June 2023 quarter, an interim dividend of Rs 17.5 per share was announced, which had increased Murty’s net worth by approximately Rs 68 crore back in June.

In 2023, it is anticipated that Akshata Murty’s net worth will see an approximate growth of Rs 138 crore. Infosys outperformed the CNBC-TV18 poll projections, with US Dollar revenue reaching $4.71 billion for the September quarter, surpassing the forecasted $4.65 billion. This represents a 2.2 per cent increase in US Dollar revenue on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, which is notably higher than the expected 0.8 per cent sequential growth.

During the quarter in question, the company’s earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) margin reached 21.2 per cent, surpassing the estimated 21 per cent by 20 basis points. Additionally, Infosys exceeded the CNBC-TV18 poll’s forecast, achieving US Dollar revenue of $4.71 billion for the September quarter, indicating a 2.2 per cent growth on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, which exceeded the expected 0.8 per cent sequential growth. In the quarter under examination, the company’s earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) margin was recorded at 21.2 per cent, surpassing the estimated 21 per cent by 20 basis points.
