According to reports from the BBC, Newey has apparently expressed his unhappiness over the internal power struggle between Horner and Helmut Marko that has ensued ever since news of team boss Horner’s mistreatment of female employees in the team broke out.
The aftermath from the Christian Horner scandal continues to have repercussions as latest reports from the BBC state that Red Bull’s Design Chief Adrian Newey is set to leave the team as a result of the unsettlement it has caused.
The 65-year-old, who has been a part of the team for 18 years, has apparently expressed his unhappiness over the internal power struggle between Horner and Helmut Marko that has ensued ever since news of team boss Horner’s mistreatment of female employees in the team broke out.

Horner, 50, was cleared by the team after an internal investigation into his behaviour towards a female colleague and has vehemently denied the accusations against him.
A file of messages and pictures was emailed to leading figures in Formula One and dozens of international news organisations from an anonymous source.
It is not known if the contents of the file, which cannot be revealed for legal reasons, formed part of the accusations against him.
But, Red Bull’s parent company suggested the team believed the email of allegations sent on Thursday amounted to a private matter.
Horner has been in charge of Red Bull since they entered Formula One 19 years ago, and Newey joined forces with Horner back in 2005.
Currently, Newey is signed to Red Bull till 2025, but it has been reported that the design head may just explore options to exit the team earlier and join forces with other competitors.
Newey is credited to be the mastermind and architect behind some of the most dominant F1 cars in history, and is reportedly sought after by the likes of Ferrari and Aston Martin.
