Blast kills six near poll candidate’s office in Balochistan, Pakistan, on eve of election
At least 12 people were killed Wednesday by a blast outside a poll candidate’s office in southwestern Balochistan province, officials said, on the eve of Pakistan’s election.
“According to initial reports six people have been reported martyred,” said Jan Achakzai, the caretaker information minister for the province, of the attack in Pishin, around 50 kilometres from the city of Quetta.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, which came a day before Pakistan is set to hold parliamentary elections.
