India just got its ‘first robot dog’ that can excel in facility inspections, patrols and surveillance. Addverb, a robotic and automation solutions provider, also introduced an advanced medical cobot for rehabilitation and imaging; and a collaborative robot (cobot) designed to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Meet ‘TrakrAssistive Dog robot
Called Trakr, the robotic dog is said to be India’s first-ever Assistive Dog robot that is “engineered for agility and perception.” The company says that the versatile machine can fit into multiple industries such as construction, oil exploration, defence, and security.
The dog, along with a Heal medical cobot and Syncro collaborative robot, were launched at LogiMAT India 2024. The trio is aimed at improving the efficiency, safety and adaptability across various industries.
Heal, on the other hand, is a medical cobot that is developed keeping in mind the healthcare industry. The company says that it has “an innovative approach” to rehabilitation and imaging.
“Specialising in collaborative human-robot interactions, Heal focuses on physical and rehabilitation therapy for stroke patients and aids in remote imaging procedures like ultrasound and MRI scans,” the company said. In laboratory settings, heal is said to be capable of streamlining routine activities.
Finally, Syncro is a collaborative robot aimed at workplace collaboration and productivity in warehouses and factories. It is said to be engineered to work alongside humans in shared spaces.
It comes with “advanced” safety features, adaptability and offers ease of use. It is said to have a user-friendly interface for easy integration into existing workflows, for improved efficiency and safety standards.
