Lok Sabha Elections 2024 LIVE: Political war in the Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency caught heat after police registered against the BJP state president and party candidate K Annamalai over an alleged poll campaign time violation. The case pertained to the opposition DMK and their allies — Left parties — objecting to the saffron camp members campaigning beyond the Election Commission’s stipulated time.
However, Annamalai hit back at the Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin-led party and said that they are the ones who indulge in violence, asking them where was his “propaganda” video that the DMK was talking about.
Meat politics after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s analogy of “Mughal mentality” against the Congress and the INDIA bloc sparked a massive row. He had said that those opposition leaders who consume meat during Sawan are displaying “Mughal mentality”.
