James acknowledged the pressure mounting on the other players of his team and said that it was natural for them to have anxiety.

The Los Angeles Lakers conceded a defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets to trail 3-0 in the best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series. This was the eleventh time in a row that the Nuggets triumphed over the Lakers. Following the loss, the Lakers’ star LeBron James acknowledged the pressure mounting on the other players of his team and said that it was natural for them to have anxiety. The Lakers fans were, however, left disheartened when James said, “It’s just basketball. At the end of the day, it’s just basketball.”

With James on the team, the Los Angeles Lakers had won their last NBA title in 2020. They got the better of the Miami Heat in the finals and claimed a 4-2 victory to emerge victorious. It was a great season for James, who had claimed the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the fourth time in his career back then.

Speaking about his performance against the Denver Nuggets, James was one of the few players, who excelled for the Los Angeles Lakers. He registered 26 points along with nine assists and six rebounds against the Nuggets in Game 3. Apart from him, Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves appeared to be in good form also.

Davis was the top-performing player for the Los Angeles Lakers. He scored 33 points with 15 rebounds in Game 3 against the Denver Nuggets. Meanwhile, Austin Reaves found the groove against the Nuggets in Game 3 as he registered 22 points, three assists and five rebounds. The Nuggets, on the other hand, put up a stunning display against the Los Angeles Lakers.

“To be honest, I think every game is tougher and tougher. I think it’s really hard to play against the same team over and over again. You kind of get bored with the style of the play or whatever. So you just need to trust what we are doing and don’t get bored with success. Because it can (go) wrong really quick,” Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic was quoted as saying by news agency Reuters.

Jokic himself had a terrific outing against the Los Angeles Lakers recording 24 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists. Nuggets’ Aaron Gordon registered 29 points along with 15 rebounds.
