The Israeli military claimed to have found part of a tunnel underneath the courtyard of headquarters belonging to UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency). The IDF claimed the facility supplied tunnels with electricity, the latest in its accusation that members of the UNRWA collaborated with Hamas.The UNRWA chief said the agency was unaware of what was underneath the facility, but the findings merit an independent inquiry. The agency’s chief said that he was unable to perform the inquiry due to the war. The headquarters of UN agency themselves, on the western edge of Gaza City, are decimated.Israel’s foreign minister called for the resignation of the head of UNRWA following the alleged discovery.
