Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack at the opposition Congress and INDI Alliance on Saturday, saying that their only goal is “form government and mint money”.
Addressing a public rally in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur, he said that in comparison to the opposition group’s goal, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has worked towards permanent solutions to the problems in the last ten years.
“We focused on the youth and women of the country. NDA ran the Aatmanirbhar initiative to promote businesses. NDA started the Startup India initiative to create opportunities for the youth,” the PM said while highlighting his government’s work.
BJP-NDA Leading 2-0 After 2nd Phase Voting
PM Modi noted that Kolhapur is known to be Maharashtra’s football hub, adding that the sport is quite popular among the youth here.
“If I speak to you in Football terminology, yesterday after the completion of the second phase, BJP-NDA is leading 2-0,” the PM said.
He said the Congress and INDI Alliance do politics using “anti-national agendas and appeasement”. Therefore, PM Modi said, “Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkaar”.
PM Slams INDI Alliance, ‘One PM For One Year’ Formula
He said that the leaders of the INDIA bloc are saying that if they form government, then they will repeal the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) law.
“Those who are struggling to win seats in three-digits range, can these INDI Alliance people reach the doors of the government?” the Prime Minister asked.
He said the opposition is now trying to find a new formula, “one PM for one year” formula. “This means five Prime Ministers in five years…this country is never going to tolerate it,” he added.
Congress’ Boycott Of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha
He also raked up the Congress’ “boycott” of the pran pratishtha ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Mandir. “Congress, which had been preventing the construction of Ram Mandir for decades, boycotted it as well. Congressmen also turned down the invitation of the pran pratishtha of Ram Lalla,” the PM said.
PM Modi referred to the example of Iqbal Ansari, a former litigant in the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute.
“Whereas Ansari and his family from Ayodhya, who fought the case against Ram Mandir in the court all their life, attended the consecration ceremony of the temple when the court said that this is the Ram temple,” the PM said.
DMK And Sanatan Dharma Remark
The Prime Minister also raised the “maligning” of Sanatan Dharma at the hands of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), a close ally of the Congress and said that they are comparing such a concept with “dengue and malaria”.
“People who talk about destroying Sanatan Dharma are invited by the INDI Alliance to Maharashtra and they are welcomed here,” he said.
He said that the opposition grouping has stooped so low in vote bank politics that they have “allied with people who believe in Aurangzeb”.
‘Congress Prince’s Inheritance Tax Formula’
Sharpening his attack at the Congress, PM Modi said the grand old party has now announced that “whatever you earn during your lifetime for your children, will not be completely inherited by your children”.
“Congress Prince has come up with such a formula that you will not be able to give your land and property to your children,” he said, adding that they plan on imposing inheritance tax on ancestral property.
Congress And INDIA Bloc Decided To Kill Social Justice
Prime Minister Narendra Modi noted that the land of Maharashtra is a symbol of social justice. But, he said, “Congress and INDI Alliance have decided to kill social justice as well”.
The grand old party which “insulted” Baba Saheb Ambedkar, is now “preparing to rob the reservation of Dalits and backward classes”.
He said that the Congress plans on implementing its “Karnataka Model of reservation” across the nation.
“In Karnataka, the Congress government made all Muslims as OBCs through a law, making them entitled to the OBC quota,” PM Modi added.
‘People Who Decorate Yakub Memon’s Grave…’
The Prime Minister further said that “people who decorate the grave of Yakub Memon” cannot be expected to change the fortunes of Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
Memon was convicted for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
He also slammed Uddhav Thackeray’s “duplicate” Shiv Sena for siding with the Congress, adding that if “Balasaheb Thackeray had been alive, he would have been saddened.”
“Therefore, strengthen Modi’s hands by making the NDA candidate win with a huge margin from Kolhapur,” PM Modi said.
‘Your dream is my resolution’: PM Modi
The Prime Minister said that the Modi government is the government of the “poor, SC/ST and OBC, dedicated to development, aims to provide opportunities to the youth and facilities to women”.
“Your dream is my resolution. My every moment is in your name, my every moment is in the name of the nation. That’s why I have taken this pledge, 24×7 and 2047,” the PM said.
