Security forces in Haiti killed at least three people while repelling an attack on the central bank in the capital city of Port-au-Prince. The Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) is one of the few key institutions still operating in the business district of the capital. The BRH is operating in a district which has been overrun by armed groups for the past three weeks. Meanwhile, US State Department deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel said stakeholders are “very close” to finalising membership to the Haitian Transitional Council. Haitian gang leader Jimmy Chérizier “Barbecue” called on the population to march to the National Palace in defiance of the state of emergency. Watch the video to find out more.
