The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) recently announced the results of the intermediate examinations held in February and amidst the celebrations of numerous achievers, Anjali Kumari from Gopalganj district stands out as a shining example of academic excellence. Anjali Kumari, hailing from Gopalganj, Bihar, emerged as the topper of her district in the commerce stream, securing a total of 455 marks. Her achievement has brought immense joy not only to her family but also to the entire village. Anjali’s father, Anil Kumar Chaurasia, a resident of Saraiya ward number-1, Sadar block, expressed pride in his daughter’s accomplishment, despite facing financial constraints. Anil, who runs a pan shop in Jadopur Chowk, emphasised the family’s unwavering commitment to providing Anjali with the best education possible.

Anjali’s journey to success shows her dedication and hard work. Despite the financial challenges her family faced, she remained focused on her studies, dedicating six hours daily to her preparation. Her primary education in the village school laid the foundation for her academic pursuits and she continued her education with determination.

Anjali’s approach to preparation was comprehensive, attending coaching classes regularly, participating in practice tests and seeking clarification from her teachers. Even while assisting her mother, Lachmeena Devi, with household chores, Anjali remained committed to her studies, displaying remarkable diligence and perseverance.

Anjali’s aspirations extend beyond her immediate success in the intermediate examinations; she harbours a dream of becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA). Her ambition is underscored by her proactive steps towards achieving her goal, evident from her plans to commence CA preparation and build a career in the field.
