A retired US Army colonel in Nebraska has been charged with sending classified information to a person through a foreign dating website. The retired colonel has been charged with transmitting classified information about Russia’s war with Ukraine, the Justice Department said. David Franklin Slater, 63, was arrested last week on charges of illegally disclosing national defence information and conspiring to do so. Officials say he illegally transmitted documents that “could be used to the injury of the United States”. Prosecutors said that Slater “regularly communicated” with the alleged co-conspirator. An Air National Guard member has pleaded guilty to posting dozens of classified documents online in a US federal court in Boston on March 4. Watch this video to know more.
