- Open GarageBand on your iPhone.
- Navigate to the “Tracks” option and swipe until the “Audio Recorder” section is visible.
- Use the “Loop Browser” icon to import an audio file from the Files app.
- Drag the imported file into the GarageBand workspace and trim it to a maximum duration of 30 seconds.
- Tap the downward-pointing arrow in the upper left corner to save the project. Then, go to “My Songs” and select the “Share” option to export it as a ringtone.
That’s it! You can now set it as your phone’s or contact’s ringtone.
Alternatively, if you have a Mac, then you can also create a ringtone on it and then transfer it to your iPhone.

- Use GarageBand on Mac to create the ringtone.
- Now, connect your iPhone to the Mac and drag and drop the file into Finger in the Garageband folder under the Files tab.
- Name the project and save it in iCloud Drive
