The woman instigated two students to fight and then herself went and punched a student.
A Florida woman threw a series of punches at a student while urging others to “beat her a—”. The fight erupted at a bus stop in Florida’s Haines between two students earlier this week and Taityana D. Duffy, 28, who herself is a guardian of a student who was waiting at the bus stop “instigated, jeered and intervened” in a fight and then “battered a juvenile during the incident”.
During the fight, one student was seen shoving another student while multiple adults and students rushed to end the fight at the bus stop. The students were quickly separated by adults and other students.
But the student in the grey shirt suddenly pounced on top of another female student in a blue shirt and fired a series of punches on her head as the other student covered her head.
Duffy meanwhile stood over them and held out her phone to record the fight and kept screaming: “Beat her a**.”
Suddenly, the student in the red hoodie jumps in to pull the student in grey off the girl in blue. At that moment, Duffy appeared to hit the student in the red hoodie shouting at him to “get the f–k off her”. The video ended at that moment.
Duffy was placed under arrest and faces charges of battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and the police also arrested a juvenile suspect and charged the suspect with battery.
“The involvement of an adult in encouraging and participating in a teenage fight at a bus stop is unacceptable and deeply concerning,” Chief of Police Greg Goreck said in a statement.
“This behaviour not only escalates violence but also fails our community’s expectation of an adults’ responsibility to help safeguard our children. Our department is taking this matter seriously and will act to prevent such incidents in the future,” he further added.
