BBAU Vice-Chancellor Recruitment 2024: Registrations Open at education.gov.in, Salary Rs 2.10 Lakh – News18

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has issued a recruitment notification for the position of vice-chancellor at Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow. The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is a central university established under the BBAU Act of 1994. Interested candidates can apply for the post of vice-chancellor by visiting the official website at education.gov.in and bbau.ac.in. As per the official notice, the last date to apply for the post is March 21.

“The vice-chancellor, being the academic as well as administrative head, is expected to be: a visionary with proven leadership qualities, administrative capabilities as well as teaching and research credentials,” reads the official notice. All applications in the prescribed format must be submitted via email to the following address within 30 days of publication: praveersaxena.edu@gov.in. The subject line to the email must read – ‘Application for the post of Vice Chancellor, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow.

BBAU Vice-Chancellor Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

He or she must have an excellent academic record and a minimum of ten years of experience as a professor in a university system or an equivalent position in a reputable research and/or academic administrative organisation. Furthermore, the candidate should not be older than 65 years.

BBAU Vice-Chancellor Recruitment 2024: Salary

The monthly salary for the position of vice-chancellor at BBAU is Rs 2,10,000, with a special allowance of Rs 11,250 and other standard allowances. The services will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the University’s Act, Statutes, and Ordinances. The appointment will be made from a list of names recommended by a committee established under the provisions of the BBAU Act, 1994.

While filling out the application form for the vice-chancellor position at BBAU, Lucknow candidates will have to upload their latest passport-size photo. They are also required to fill in the information as mentioned or add more lines in the space given whenever required. The education qualification section must be in chronological order from the latest to the graduation level. Even the academic or teaching experience and responsibilities must be the same – from the latest to the oldest.

Applicants are also requested to provide a list of scholarly publications in recognised professional or academic journals. It is important to note that the total number of pages of the application should not exceed 10 pages.
