Ukrainian authorities in the Donetsk region claim a Russian guided bomb hit the Kostiantynivka railway station early on February 26. Ukraine confirmed its retreat from the village of Lastochkyne in eastern Ukraine, saying the move would help it halt the Russia’s westward advances. The Kremlin criticised the closure of Denmark’s investigation into the 2022 sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines linking Russia and Germany. Syrsky said Russia has fired more than 8,000 missiles at Ukraine since the start of the invasion, an average of more than 10 a day. Meanwhile, a top Kyiv official said Ukraine could invite Russia to a peace summit to discuss an end to end the two-year invasion on Kyiv’s terms. Zelensky said Italy should revoke the visas of people with “pro-Putin” views to make sure they do not disrupt the delivery of Western military aid.
