Amazon currently offers Prime membership with multiple payment options. Users have the option to get it for 1 month for Rs 299, 3 months for Rs 599 and a yearly plan is available at Rs 1,499.
There’s another plan — Prime Lite — which was launched back in June at Rs 999. However, it appears that Amazon has made some changes to the pricing of this plan.
Prime Lite membership price reduced: New pricing and other details
The Prime Lite was launched at Rs 999 and it comes with slightly fewer benefits compared to the regular Prime membership. Right now, Amazon has listed the Prime Lite membership at Rs 799 on the Prime support page.
According to the listing, the e-commerce platform has dropped the price of the membership by Rs 200. Prices of other membership plans, however, remain unchanged.
It’s not just pricing that has changed. Amazon has also altered a couple of benefits with the membership.
What has changed in terms of benefits
There are several benefits that the Prime Lite membership offers. However, there are some changes that we think Amazon has made to make the plan more affordable.
For instance, the plan earlier used to offer free two-day delivery. Now, the plan includes One-Day Delivery, Two-Day Delivery, Scheduled Delivery and Same-Day Delivery.
Prime Music is still missing and Prime Video is limited to HD quality, it’s just the membership now supports only one device instead of two.
Other changes remain the same. This includes morning delivery at Rs 175 per item, No-cost EMI, 6-month free screen replacement and more.
Compared to regular Prime membership, this plan misses out on one-day delivery, discounted morning delivery at Rs 50 per item, unlimited Prime Video device support and 4K resolution support.
