Meanwhile, Becky Lynch, who was also supposed to be part of the event, missed her flight to India for the WWE Superstar Spectacle in Hyderabad, owing to a ‘tear’ in her passport. Lynch, real name Rebecca Quinn, took micro-blogging site ’X’ (formerly known as Twitter) to confirm the news.
“I’m sorry to all the fans in Hyderabad, India. I was so excited to perform for you – but as there was a tiny tear in my passport l have not been allowed to board my flight. @qatarairwaysv,” Quinn posted and later confirmed in another post that she will be missing the event by reposting a Twitter user’s post.

WWE Superstar Spectacle is set to take place at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium (Gachibowli Indoor Stadium), Hyderabad, India, on Friday, September 8, 2023. This will mark the first live event to take place in India since 2017 and the first-ever WWE live event to be held in Hyderabad.

John Cena has been the face of the WWE for over two decades now. He recently made a return to WWE’s SmackDown roster after staying out of the promotion for a long period. Cena will be joining forces with the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins in his first ever wrestling match in India.
Veer Mahan and Sanga vs Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens
While the Indus Sher were previously expected to take on Zayn and Owens in a Tag Team titles match, since the pair lost their undisputed championship belts to the Judgement Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest, the Indian duo will lock horns with Zayn and Owens in a non-title clash. Jinder Mahal is also expected to be at ringside with the Indian wrestlers.
Rhea Ripley (champion) vs Natalya – World Women’s Championship Match
World Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley will be putting her title on the line at WWE Superstar Spectacle 2023. Ripley will be taking on Natalya whom she has already faced twice during her title reign, winning both matches.
