Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from areas at risk of being submerged in water across Kazakhstan and Russia. Fast-melting snow and ice have led to surging rivers along the border regions of both countries, causing floods in cities and roadsTASS reported on April 10 that the number of people evacuated due to flooding in Russia’s Orenburg region has grown to over 7,700.
