Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has sent a request to all MLAs, asking them to discuss the problems of the state’s people and resolve them, said Sunita Kejriwal as she read out her husband’s message on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor’s wife said, “Arvind Kejriwal has sent a message to all MLAs. “Just because I am in jail, the people of Delhi should not suffer in any way. Every MLA should visit their area every day and discuss people’s problems and sort them out.”
Kejriwal has said that nobody should be sad, he prays to God to bless everyone, she said while concluding her address.
However, amid the press conference, what caught people’s eyes was the wall in the background. In between the photos of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Baba Saheb Ambedkar was that of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal ‘behind prison bars’.
Bharatiya Janata Party’s Delhi unit president Virendraa Sachdeva said that putting up the photo of a “staunch corrupt” Kejriwal between Bhagat Singh and Babasaheb Ambedkar is “very regrettable”.

Sachdeva’s post on X read, “It is very regrettable to put the photo of a staunch corrupt Arvind Kejriwal between Bhagat Singh ji and Babasaheb Ambedkar ji. Earlier the husband used to lie in front of the camera. Now that he is in jail, he is making his wife lie. The public is not going to be misled by AAP.”
Delhi BJP’s vice president, Kapil Mishra, also slammed the photo’s positioning and said, “Putting photo of Arvind Kejriwal with Baba Saheb Ambedkar and Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh is very wrong and insulting.”

He said that placing the photo of a man accused in a liquor scam case equal to that of Baba Saheb Ambedkar is “shameful”. “This crime of AAP is unforgivable,” Mishra said in a post on X.
The saffron party’s unit of the national capital in a post on X said, “When destruction falls on a person, conscience dies first.”
It asked that how Kejriwal, after all that’s happened, can be so narcissistic that he compares himself to Babasaheb and Bhagat Singh.
“As far as giving a message to your useless MLAs is concerned, why did you not give the message when they came to meet you at Sheeshmahal? This clearly means that your MLA was not in the area for the last 9 years and was busy in fun and political tours?” the post read.
It further said, “People of Delhi have seen that every year whether there is water shortage, Corona period, when there is flood or any other problem in Delhi, your MLAs remain missing?”
Delhi BJP asked Kejriwal to “stop this gimmick”, saying that the people of the state have now understood the truth.
“Instead of doing drama on social media and media every day, it would be better to focus on work of public interest,” the party said.
