The Wall Street Journal reports that after 114 days of fighting, as much as 80% of Hamas’s tunnel system beneath Gaza could still remain intact. Activists, including some related to the Gaza hostages, blocked the Kerem Shalom crossing to prevent humanitarian aid entering Gaza. Meanwhile, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has pressed Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to persuade Iran to cease its support for Houthis. A British defence source has claimed the HMS Diamond did not join the retaliatory strikes against Houthi targets as it didn’t have the “capability to fire to land targets”.
