A Taiwan media outlet has reported that the delivery of the first 38 M1A2T Abrams tanks has been further delayed. Taiwan News reported that the delivery was slated for the middle of this year but has been pushed to the fourth quarter. The Abrams tanks are crucial to Taiwan’s plan to thwart a Chinese invasion due to their ability to fire from mountaintops. Apart from the Abrams tanks, the delivery of another American platform, the F-16 Viper, has also been delayed.
