UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2024: Applications Open For 506 Posts; Check Last Date – News18

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the advertisement for 506 vacancies for Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Eligible candidates can apply for UPSC CAPF 2024 on the Commission’s website, upsconline.nic.in. The notification can be found on upsc.gov.in. The application deadline for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024 is May 14.

Vacancy Details

Border Security Force (BSF): 186 vacancies

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 120 vacancies

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 100 vacancies

Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 58 vacancies

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 42

Both male and female candidates can apply for the post of Assistant Commandant.

UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024: OTR and Application Procedure

Step 1: Before submitting the online form on upsconline.nic.in, new candidates have to complete the one-time registration (OTR) through the link provided on the same website.

Step 2: After completing the OTR, candidates can go through the application process.

Step 3: Existing candidates, those who have completed the OTR for any previous edition of UPSC CAPF or any other exam conducted by the Commission, do not need to register again as the OTR on the UPSC website is valid for life.

Step 4: These candidates can fill out the application form by providing their registration details —

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens. Non-citizens will be appointed or recruited only after written approval of the Central Government.

Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 20 years of age and not more than 25 years of age as of 1 August 2024. That is, they must not have been born before 2 August 1999 and not before 1 August 2004. The upper age limit will be reduced as per state rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.

Application Fee: The application fee for UPSC CAPF 2024 is Rs 200. Women and SC and ST category candidates are exempted from paying the examination fee.
