The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotional Board (UPPRPB) will be announcing the UP Police Constable re-examination dates soon. All candidates appearing for the re-examination are advised to check the official website, uppbpb.gov.in from time to time for updates regarding the same. As per the orders from the Uttar Pradesh government, it is expected that the exam will be conducted in June 2024. Earlier, the exam was held on February 17 and 18 but was cancelled due to a paper leak.
Over 47 lakh candidates appeared for the UP Police Constable Exam earlier in February for 60,244 vacancies. The exam was cancelled on February 24. According to the UP Police Constable Selection process, candidates who clear the written exam will be shortlisted for PST, DV and PET rounds.
UP Police Constable Recruitment 2024: What is the marking scheme?
The examination will be of a 2-hour duration in which the candidates need to answer 150 questions. For every right answer, the applicant will be given 2 marks, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The exam will be held in English and Hindi languages.
All the questions except those in the General Hindi category will be presented in both English and Hindi languages.
The exam is going to have four sections: General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Intelligence and Logical Ability.
Earlier, the exams were scheduled in two shifts, with the morning shift set from 10 AM to 12 PM and the evening shift from 3 PM to 5 PM.
All the applicants are advised to only use black or blue ball pens for marking the answers in the OMR sheet.
All the candidates are advised to reach their respective exam centres two hours before the examination time and Admit Cards, once out will be accessible online on the official website uppbpb.gov.in, and must be presented for entry into the examination hall.
The UP STF and Police had made some arrests earlier for leaking the UP Constable Exam question paper.
