The government of the People’s Republic of China has announced a fellowship named The Great Wall Fellowship Programme and sponsored it with UNESCO. UNESCO is the full name of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. The last date to apply for these fellowships is March 10, 2024. The candidates deemed eligible for this fellowship will not be required to pay the tuition fee. There will be a monthly stipend as well, i.e.- Rs 35,096 for the general scholars and Rs 40,946 for the senior scholars. Besides these facilities, the candidates will also receive on-campus accommodation or accommodation subsidies. Submission of online applications by candidates

1. Application form for the Chinese Government Scholarship– It can be downloaded in Chinese and English.

2. Copy of Passport home page: A clear and scanned copy of the candidate’s ordinary

passport with validity later than March 1, 2024, must be submitted.

3. Notarised photocopies of the highest diploma: The diploma winners must

also submit official proof of student status issued by their current schools.

4. Academic Transcripts– Transcripts in English and Chinese must be duly attached with a translation of these languages.

5. Language qualification certificates: Candidates should provide the relevant

language proficiency certificates according to the university requirements.

6. Study Plan– Research plan of a minimum of 500 words in Chinese or

English for the study or research to be undertaken in China should also be submitted.
