March seems set to be another big month for smartphone launches. Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme and Vivo – all are set to launch smartphones during the month. For those looking to buy a new phone, these launches are across the price range. While Xiaomi is set to launch its most-premium phone of the year 2024; Realme and Samsung are launching mid-range smartphones.Vivo is expanding its camera-focused mid-range series with another launch. Here are the top smartphone launches of March 2024

Samsung Galaxy F15

Samsung is set to expand its affordable F-series with the Galaxy F15 5G smartphone on March 4. This smartphone will feature a SuperAMOLED display and pack a 6000mAh battery that promises to offer 2 days of battery life. The upcoming budget smartphone will be available in three colour options – Ash Black, Groovy Voilet and Jazzy Green and will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset. Samsung has also promised four generations of Android upgrades and 5 years of security patches for the Galaxy F15 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35

Samsung is also expected to launch two new phones under its mid-range A-series in March. However, the South Korea-based tech giant has not confirmed any details, like the launch window, pricing and availability of the smartphone duo, leaked renders and certifications revealed some key highlights about both models. The Samsung Galaxy A55 is expected to feature the company’s latest island design with a metallic frame. Meanwhile, the A35 may opt for a plastic body to hit a lower price point. Both smartphones have been certified by agencies in Korea and China.

Xiaomi 14 5G

Xiaomi is set to launch the Xiaomi 14 smartphone in India on March 7. In its official X post, the Chinese smartphone maker hinted at its collaboration with Leica for the upcoming smartphone. However, the Xiaomi 14 Pro and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra models are not expected to arrive in India. The vanilla Xiaomi 14 model will sport a 6.36-inch LTPO display that will support 1.5K resolution and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone may feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, coupled with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. For photography, the Chinese variant of the smartphone houses a triple rear camera setup that includes a Leica-tuned 50MP main sensor with OIS and a Summilux lens, along with a 50MP telephoto lens and another 50MP ultra-wide angle unit. The device has an IP68 rating and packs a 4,610mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Vivo V30 series

Vivo is set to expand its mid-range V-series with two new smartphones on March 7. The Vivo V30 series will include two models — the Vivo V30 and the Vivo V30 Pro. Both smartphones will include the Aura Portrait light feature which the company claims will improve portrait shots. The vanilla Vivo V30 smartphone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with up to 2800 nits brightness. The smartphone is likely to come powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset, while the Pro variant may feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. Both smartphones may boast a 50MP selfie camera with dual soft LED flash and may pack a 5000 mAh battery that is expected to support 80W fast charging. In the rear, the smartphones may house a triple rear camera setup which may include a 50MP main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP depth sensor.

Realme 12+ 5G

Realme launched the Realme 12 Pro 5G and the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G smartphone in India in January. The Chinese smartphone maker is now set to launch another mid-range smartphone, the Realme 12+ 5G, in India on March 6. Realme has confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will feature the OIS-enabled Sony LYT600 sensor with 2X in-sensor Zoom. The Realme 12+ 5G will also feature a premium leather back panel and an IP54 water and dust-resistant rating. The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and may come powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 6nm processor. Rumours suggest it will boast a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, along with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G

Realme is also set to expand its affordable Narzo series with a new model in March. However, the company has yet to announce the exact launch date and pricing of the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G. The smartphone will be equipped with an Air Gesture control function and will be the first phone in the segment to feature the Sony IMX890 OIS-enabled sensor.

Nothing Phone 2a

Nothing is set to launch its first affordable smartphone in India, Phone 2a, on March 5. Leaked phone renders suggest the upcoming smartphone will have a transparent back with dual camera “eyes” and three glyph lights or notifications. However, the Nothing Phone 2a may not support wireless charging and is expected to be priced under Rs 30,000. The smartphone is likely to sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED screen and may come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity Pro chipset, backed with 12GB of RAM. For photography, the smartphone may boast a set of 50MP wide and ultrawide sensors. This smartphone is set to be and Amazon exclusive and will be available only through the e-commerce platform.

iQoo Z9 5G

Vivo’s sub-brand iQoo is also set to expand its mid-range Z-series with a new smartphone. The iQoo Z9 5G smartphone will be launched in India on March 12. The company has also teased the smartphone on X which reveals that the smartphone will sport a dual rear camera setup and a marble finish rear panel. iQoo has also confirmed that the upcoming 5G smartphone will be the first in the price segment to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset. The iQoo Z9 5G smartphone will house a Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS and sport an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The mid-range iQoo smartphone will also come with 44W fast charging support and will also be an Amazon-exclusive model.
