Sholay: The epic film Sholay was released in theatres in 1975. Initially, it had to struggle to garner the attention of the audience. But within a few days, the buzz around the film became so intense that it proved to be a super hit. Sholay was directed by Ramesh Sippy and featured Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar, Amjad Khan, Hema Malini and Jaya Bhaduri in the lead roles. The film is often regarded as one of the greatest and most influential Indian films of all time.
