After remaining absent from television for a couple of years, Nia Sharma is now all set to make her comeback to the small screen with a supernatural show titled Suhaagan Chudail. As the name suggests, the Colors TV show is expected to focus on a witch and her journey, with Nia playing the lead role. The actress recently commenced shooting for the show and treated her fans to behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets. This came weeks after the news of the actress bagging the show made headlines. Fans were eagerly waiting for Nia to make an official announcement.
On Wednesday, the Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai actress took to Instagram and shared glimpses from the first-day shoot of Suhaagan Chudail. The first video shows Nia performing a puja on the sets on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
The following pictures give a glimpse of the show’s title and Nia’s vanity van. “Shubh Din…. Shubh Beginnings!! @peninsulapictures @colorstv Haapy #ramnavmi2024,” she wrote in the caption.

As soon as the actress made the announcement, fans flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages and best wishes. Nia’s close friend and actor, Arjun Bijlani, also dropped a hilarious comment on the post. “Naam mein se ek cheez toh toh tu hai bus ab shaadi karle. Congratulations dost!! Super hit..”, he wrote in a teasing manner.
Many others, like Shalin Bhanot, Rubina Dilaik, and Shantanu Maheshwari, also congratulated her through their heartfelt comments.
More About Nia Sharma’s Comeback Show
While details about the show’s storyline have been kept under wraps, speculations are rife that Shehzada Dhami and Debchandrima Roy might play key roles in the show. Meanwhile, the Suhaangan Chudail will air on Colors TV; however, its premiere date is yet to be confirmed. The show is expected to replace Adnan Khan’s Pracchand Ashok.
Talking about Nia Sharma, the actress rose to fame with her performance in the popular daily soap Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. Later, she worked in a number of other shows like Jamai Raja, Ishq Mei Marjaawan, and Naagin 4. She also took part in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Her association with the upcoming show marks her second stint in the supernatural genre after Naagin.
