The results of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) were announced on Tuesday. The announcement brought several aspirants unbridled joy as they successfully qualified for the examination, proving that hard work and determination always have your back. One of the lucky aspirants is Aniket Kumar Dubey, who was able to realise his dream of IPS after some gruelling years of hard work.

Aniket Kumar Dubey is a resident of the Hajiapur locality, in Gopalganj, Bihar. In the UPSC CSE 2023 examination, he secured the 226th rank to become an IPS (Indian Police Service) officer. As per reports, this was his fifth attempt at the examination, which finally led him to his dream. He became the first IAS officer from the locality of Hajiapur.

Aniket’s parents, father Shambhu Dubey and mother Neeta Devi are both government school teachers. His mother teaches at a government school in Khwajepur, Bihar. When the results were announced on Tuesday, an atmosphere of celebration and joy was observed in his family as well as the whole locality. As per reports, people clamoured to Aniket’s house to congratulate him and his family on such a huge feat.

Aniket’s father revealed that he is the eldest son of three sons and a daughter. He completed his childhood education at the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Gopalganj. After completing his 10th standard from Gopalganj, he studied in the Shalimar Bagh Kendriya Vidyalaya, in Delhi, till his 12th. After completing his graduation, he immersed himself in UPSC preparation. According to his father, he wanted to become an IPS officer since his childhood.

So, even though he could not qualify for the first four attempts, it did not break his spirit and he went for a fifth consecutive attempt. His refusal to give up led to his eventual success, as he successfully became a rank holder in one of the toughest examinations in the world.

Furthermore, several names from the state of Bihar successfully qualified for the 2023 UPSC examination. These include Shivam Kumar, who got the 19th rank, while Syed Adeel Mohsin from Muzaffarpur came at 157th rank.
