Maera Mishra played the role of Mallishka Bedi in the popular serial Bhagyalakshmi.

Maera Mishra, renowned for her compelling portrayal of the negative character Mallishka Bedi in the popular serial Bhagyalakshmi, has garnered significant attention and captivated audiences with her performance. Now, she is ready to mesmerise her fans once again in the historical drama series Pracchand Ashoka. In this new venture, Maera will take on the role of a Vishkanya.

According to a report in the Times Of India, Maera shared insights into her character, stating that she plays the role of the most renowned dancer of that era. “It’s not exactly naagin, but something similar,” Maera explained.

Maera further spilled the details about her character and how she will be seen in a totally glamorous look. “Given that I play a vishkanya, they can’t afford to make me look simple,” Maera said, followed by a laugh. She further added that in mythological shows, every character appears glamorous.

Pracchand Ashoka will also serve as Maera’s debut into the historical genre. “I have been part of family dramas until now and it’s always good to explore new things in life. Breaking away from my comfort zone is challenging, but I’m looking forward to the experience.”

Maera explained that her previous show Bhagyalaksmi has taken a time leap, and the original characters are being reintroduced separately for a while. “My track is currently on hold for some time, providing me a break from the show at the right time. I had booked my ticket to my hometown for February 22, and just a few days before, the team called me to offer the part. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity at any cost. I have been manifesting shooting for two TV shows at a time for quite a while now. Many people thought it wouldn’t be possible, but God has been kind to make it happen,” the actor said.

Maera also took a moment to acknowledge the heartfelt messages from her fans expressing how much they are going to miss her and their longing for her return to Bhagyalakshmi.
