The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission organised the recruitment examination on February 10, 2024.

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) recently announced vacancies for Assistant professors. JSSC is looking to recruit trained assistant teachers in Jharkhand Primary School and has a vacancy of 26,001 posts. The application process began on January 19. The applications of 13,339 candidates for the post of Assistant Professor have been cancelled by the authorities, which has left them worried. This is because of a few mistakes which were found in the applications of these candidates.

Before applying for the post of Assistant Professor, candidates had to register themselves by depositing a fee. 9,772 applications were cancelled because candidates did not deposit the registration fee. 3,017 candidates applied for the posts based on the rules from the previous year, due to which the applications had to be cancelled. Apart from this, 449 candidates’ applications were cancelled because they had not uploaded photographs or signatures properly. 101 applications were cancelled because candidates applied for the posts using the old registration number after their forms were rejected.

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission organised the recruitment examination on February 10, 2024. Candidates who have cleared the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) were considered eligible to apply for the post of assistant teacher. Out of the 26,001 vacancies, 11,000 were released for Jharkhand PRT and 15,001 for Jharkhand TGT posts.

The total number of reserved posts for Para Teachers is 12,868. For 1st to 5th classes, 5,469 and for classes 6th to 8th 7,399 positions were to be filled.

The total number of reserved posts for non-para teachers is 13,133. For classes 1st to 5th, 5,531 and for 6th to 8th, 7,602 posts were vacant.

As per the notification, the pay scale for intermediate Trained Assistant Professor is between Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100. For Graduate Trained Assistant Professor the salary can be between Rs 29,200 to 92,300. For 1st to 5th Assistant Professor, it is Rs 39,000 to 44,356 and for 6th to 8th Assistant Professor, the salary is anywhere between Rs 45,092 to 50,270.
