The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has announced the final results of the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Prelims Examination – 2023. All the students who appeared for the examination can check their results at the official website jpsc.gov.in. This year, the prelims exam was conducted on March 17 at 834 centers spread across various cities of the state. Candidates who have successfully passed the prelims examination will appear for the Mains Exam which will be conducted from June 22 to June 24, 2024.

This year, a total of 3.2 lakh students appeared for the exam and 7,011 were marked pass. As per the rules, only 5,130 candidates were to be selected for the Mains exam but because several candidates scored equal marks in all categories 7,011 were declared pass in the prelims examinations.

JPSC Prelims Result 2023: How to Check the Results?

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission at jpsc.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, look out for the tab JPSC Prelims Result 2023 or something similar and click on it.

Step 3: A PDF file will appear on the screen where candidates and check their roll number and their results.

Step 4: Download the result and take a printout of it on an A4 size sheet paper for future reference.

The JPSC has also announced the cut-off marks for all the categories. For the unreserved, backward class, Extremely Backward Class, and Economically Weaker Section the cut-off was 246, while for Scheduled Caste (SC) it was 236 and for Scheduled Tribe (ST) it was 224.

This year, the exams were conducted in two shifts. In the first shift, all the candidates had to appear for the General Studies Paper 1 which was scheduled from 10 am to 12 pm. While the General Studies 2 paper was scheduled from 2 PM to 4 PM.

Both the papers consisted of a total of 200 marks. As per the marking scheme, there were no negative marks for any wrong answer. The examination aims to fill up 342 vacant government (administrative) jobs.
