A 100 percentile scorer and Bihar state topper of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024, Pratham Kumar has secured an All India Rank of 33. A native of Muzaffarpur in Bihar, Pratham appeared for both the January and April sessions of JEE Main however, he was unable to score 100 percentile in the first session and hence decided to take on the “challenge” and appeared for the second session.

“I appeared for both the sessions of JEE Main 2024. Since I could not score 100 percentile in session 1, I took on the challenge. My dedication paid off as I have now achieved the 100 percentile with a remarkable rank of AIR 33 in the engineering entrance exam,” he said. Pratham is currently preparing for the prestigious IIT entrance exam, JEE Advanced 2024, and aims to grab a seat at IIT Bombay’s most popular Computer Science course.

Talking about his preparation journey, Pratham who took coaching from Unacademy, said he had planned a strategy for the JEE exam and was consistent with his studies. “I started preparing for JEE after completing class 10. I used to always create a strategy before going for the exam and be consistent in my success. I suggest aspirants to work hard. Believe in yourself and never be demotivated. Be consistent in whatever you do,” he told News18.com.

Pratham’s father works in a private company. In class 10th, he scored 97 per cent, and his class 12 results are yet to be announced.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of JEE Main 2024 session 2 on April 25. A total of 56 students have scored 100 percentile this time out of which only two are female students — Karnataka’s Sanvi Jain and Delhi’s Shayna Sinha.

Meanwhile, registration for JEE Advanced will commence tomorrow, April 27. The examination will be held on May 26. The last date to apply and pay the fees is May 10. Candidates can apply online through the official website of JEE Advanced, jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced 2024 admit card will be released on May 17 and the exam will be held on May 26. The final result of the examination will be released on June 9. The cut off scores have increased this year compared to last year.
